GlobalFire was deployed to the Islands of St. Vincent and the Grenadines from May 9th until the 16th to deliver one of several fire trucks donated to our charity by the London Fire Department. The ET Joshua Airport in Kingstown was selected to conduct the training as it’s the island’s newly retired airport and provided the large open areas where hose lines and water streams could be employed without causing damage.

GlobalFire held training sessions on the use of the hydraulic system, vehicle and pump. Following this, the local Firefighters were given time to practically evaluate their new skillsets to ensure the handoff would be operational as soon as the fire truck was equipped with tools.

The truck delivered by GlobalFire was fully loaded with a 65mm and 38mm hose provided by London Fire. The London Fire Department has been both a regular and generous supporter of our charity’s efforts to train and equip Firefighters and Paramedics in developing countries around the world.
