In the town of El Marj, Lebanon, resources are limited. When fires burn through the town or break out in nearby Syrian refugee camps, volunteers often race to the scene in shorts and flip flops with little more than some courage and basic tools to battle the blazes. 

GlobalFire teamed up with a local partner to help equip a team of volunteers working to protect El Marj, a town of 25,000 people, plus 6000 Syrian refugees living in nearby camps. These volunteers respond to 130+ calls per year, assisting with fires, animal rescues, accidents, floods and more.

GlobalFire donated:

• 15 bunker suits

• 15 Firefighter helmets

• 8 Firefighter boots

• 12 Firefighter gloves

• 2 balaclavas

Upon receipt of the donation in December 2025, The Mayor and Members of Marj Municipality extended their sincere thanks and deep appreciation for the generous donation of firefighting equipment.
