UKRAINE 2024
Prepping Donation at GlobalMedic’s Warehouse
Nearly three years after the conflict began, essential infrastructure in Ukraine like roads, power plants, apartment complexes and homes continue to be bombed and destroyed. Resources like healthcare, education, and government services like firefighting have also been severely impacted, and in some cases, they are completely inaccessible in Eastern regions of Ukraine. Livelihoods have been disrupted, displacement and death rates continue to climb, and increased arms use have resulted in an unprecedented need to provide humanitarian assistance to those most affected in these conflict zones. Ukrainian firefighters are ready to step up but they lack resources for essential equipment.
GlobalFire worked with GlobalMedic to ship a large donation of PPE to the brave firefighters responding to emergencies in Ukraine. In December 2024, GlobalMedic sent a shipping container with Family Emergency Kits including a household water purification unit, hygiene items and a solar light. In the container, GlobalFire sent 10 skids of equipment that were distributed to fire departments in Kyiv, Ivano-Frankivsk, Kherson, and Cherkasy.
The donation included the following items:
