antigua & barbuda 2019

In spring 2019, GlobalFire supported the donation of a fire truck from the City of London Fire Department to the Fire Department of Antigua & Barbuda.

Ms. Ann-Marie Layne, Consul-General for Antigua & Barbuda was very pleased to work with partners GlobalFire and the Fire Department in London, Ontario to supply this much needed support to the Antigua and Barbuda Fire Department. 

The donated fire truck was a welcomed addition to the fleet on the island of Antigua and it is anticipated to replace an aging truck at the V.C. Bird International Airport. Upon receiving the donation, Mr. Elvis Weaver, Fire Chief of the Antigua & Barbuda Fire Department noted, "This fire truck will enhance the ability of the Fire Department to respond to fires on Antigua and will enhance our ability to keep communities safe."
