Gord Martineau

Gord Martineau is the anchor for City TV’s CityNews at six. He’s earned a reputation as a favourite Toronto News Anchor. Martineau has been named the Toronto Sun’s favourite seven times. In 2006 Gord was given the Radio and Television News Directors Association Lifetime Achievement Award. In 2007 Martineau was given the Academy of Canadian Cinema and Television Gemini Award as Canada’s Best News Anchor. In 2008 the Academy presented Martineau with the Gemini Humanitarian Award. Martineau is active with a variety of Charitable causes and has traveled the world chronicling the lives of people who struggle to survive in the developing world.

Sean Reid

Sean Reid has been employed with one of Canada's leading financial institutions for many years now. His professional role is specific to network engineering, design and architecture, although he holds a business degree from York University. In his capacity as a network consultant, he has both led and participated in many bank network initiatives across the globe. In 2002, Sean participated in GlobalMedic's mission to Cambodia. He serves on the board of GlobalMedic, providing critical support for both organizational direction and initiatives undertaken. He has directly participated in many fund raising initiatives. Sean has been on the board of GlobalMedic since the establishment of its headquarters in Toronto in 2002.

Rahul Singh

Rahul Singh founded the David McAntony Gibson Foundation (DMGF) in 1998 to honour the memory of his best friend who tragically lost his life on February 7, 1998. In just 12 years, Singh’s tireless efforts have resulted in a globally recognized, innovative and efficient organization. He has also personally led over 30 GlobalMedic missions around the world and is the charity’s Executive Director. Singh has been a professional emergency worker since 1988. Currently he serves the citizens of Toronto as a frontline Paramedic. Combining a passion for humanitarian assistance from a frontline emergency perspective, Singh created GlobalMedic’s unique operational mandate of providing disaster relief in the immediate aftermath of a catastrophe with professional emergency workers. Singh has received the Indo-Canadian Commerce’s 2006 Humanitarian of the Year Award and received multiple letters of commendation from the likes of former Canadian Prime Minister Paul Martin, Grenadian Prime Minister Keith Mitchell, Ontario Premier Dalton McGuinty, Toronto Mayor David Miller, and Federal Member of Parliament Jim Karygiannis. In 2010, Singh was named as one of Time Magazine’s 100 Most Influential People in the World, as well as one of Canada’s Top 40 Under 40.

Jim Dainard

Jim Dainard has over 12 years experience as an accountant. He spent his first four years in public accounting primarily with BDO Dunwoody LLP. Jim then moved to the Financial Services and IT Industries where he was the key contributor to the financial reporting and budgeting processes. Jim has spent the last three years working in the mining industry, helping move a junior exploration company into development with anticipated near term construction and eventual production. Jim brings significant leadership and financial expertise to the GlobalMedic team. Jim is a Chartered Accountant and an Honours graduate with a Bachelor degree in Accounting from Brock University.

Craig Lester

Craig is GlobalFire's Project Coordinator. He has been an active Firefighter in Toronto since 1999 and has served 22 years in the Canadian Armed Forces. He is also involved as a Training Instructor for the Toronto Fire Services. Craig has been involved with DMGF since 2009, volunteering his skill set in emergency response during a number of disasters around the world. Since the formation of GlobalFire in 2010, he has led 18 international missions (including disaster response, capacity building and supply distribution Op's). Craig has also been involved in coordinating many of GlobalFire's North American activities and run GlobalFire training events in Toronto.
